Your website doesn't reflect the quality of your services? Here's why.
A few months ago, Senghane Ndong reaches out. A hypnotherapist in Limoges, she sees patients every month. Her expertise? Recognized. Her website? A silent problem — to the point that her domain name had just been hijacked.
"I don't understand, my current patients are thrilled"
That's the phrase I hear most often. And it makes sense: your clients know you. They've experienced working with you. But prospects landing on your site? They only see the facade.
Senghane's site was a custom WordPress from 2020, weighed down by features she never used — the blog section, for instance, sat empty for years. A lot of machinery for what was, at its core, a single job: reassuring a future patient before they pick up the phone.
The invisible gap
Imagine: you're a coach, a therapist or a craftsman, and you receive your clients in a space with peeling paint. You'd be embarrassed, right? Yet that's exactly what thousands of independents do with their website.
Trust-killing signals:
- A design that's several years old
- Copy that talks about you, not your clients
- Load times that drive visitors away
- Confusing navigation that loses people
What we did for Senghane
When I took on the Ndong Hypno Bien-Être project, we saw the hijack as an opportunity: start from a blank page. Not to make it "pretty." To make it effective.
We built a one-page site that answers a future patient's questions in the order they ask them, with a native light / dark mode and subtle animations. All in Nuxt 4, hosted on Infomaniak.
The result:
- A near-instant first render (First Contentful Paint of 0.4 s on desktop, Lighthouse measurement)
- A serious, professional brand image
- A site that reassures from the first second
It's not about budget
I work with independent consultants and tech companies like 2UTech alike. The common thread? They understood that their website is their first salesperson. And a poorly dressed salesperson doesn't sell.
An outdated WordPress that's too slow and drags your image down? That's exactly why I set up a studio dedicated to this kind of rebuild: tonydesign.io.
Your website deserves the same level of excellence as your work. If you feel there's a gap between what you do and what your site shows, let's talk.
